Δεν είναι η πρώτη φόρα που η έμπνευσή μας προήλθε από μια star του παλιού καλού κινηματογράφου, ένα fashion icon από το παρελθόν. H Sophia Loren & η Audrey Hepburn υπήρξαν πηγή έμπνευσης σε προηγούμενες συλλογές, τώρα όμως είναι η σειρά της Marlene Dietrich!
H Marlene Dietrich γεννήθηκε το 1901 στο Βερολίνο. Ξεκίνησε να ασχολείται με την υποκριτική τη δεκαετία του '20 και υπήρξε μία από τις πιο ακριβοπληρωμένες ηθοποιούς τη δεκαετία του '30 και μία από τις ελάχιστες ηθοποιούς με επιτυχημένη πορεία πολλών ετών. Οι ταινίες της έτυχαν τεράστιας επιτυχίας, η αποδοχή του κοινού ήταν εξωπραγματική και η τελειομανία της δεν άφηνε τίποτα στην τύχη. Από τον τρόπο που ερμήνευε το ρόλο της μέχρι και την εμφάνισή της, τα μελετούσε πολύ προσεκτικά και είχε πάντα άποψη. Είχε ένα μοναδικό τρόπο να συνδυάζει το αισθησιακό της στυλ με ένα ανδρόγυνο look - κοστούμια, γραβάτες και άλλα παρόμοια ρούχα μαγνήτιζαν ακόμα περισσότερο τα ανδρικά αλλά και γυναικεία βλέμματα. Θεωρήθηκε πρωτοπόρα σε αυτόν τομέα καθώς τα παντελόνια εκείνες τις δεκαετίες δεν ήταν επιλογή των γυναικών για δημόσιες εμφανίσεις. Ήταν σχεδόν απαγορευτικό. Μπορούσε όμως να φορέσει και εκπληκτικές τουαλέτες με έναν εξίσου μοναδικό τρόπο, καθώς το σώμα της ήταν σμιλευμένο και όλοι μιλούσαν για τα υπέροχα πόδια της.
Η Marlene Dietrich απεβίωσε το 1992 και τους τελευταίους μήνες της ζωής της δεν άφηνε ούτε τους πολύ στενούς φίλους της να τη δουν, καθώς δεν ήθελε να τη θυμούνται γερασμένη. Η επικοινωνία ακόμη και για συνεντεύξεις γινόταν μόνο τηλεφωνικά.
H Marlene αποτέλεσε, συνεχίζει και θα συνεχίζει να αποτελεί μούσα πολλών σχεδιαστών και ο θρύλος της θα ζει όχι μόνο μέσα από τις ταινίες της αλλά και μέσα από τη μόδα. This is not the first time that our inspiration came from a star of the good old cinema, a fashion icon from the past. Sophia Loren & Audrey Hepburn were the source of inspiration in previous collections, but now it is the turn of Marlene Dietrich!
Marlene Dietrich was born in Berlin in 1901. She started acting with the 20s and was one of the well paid actresses in the 30s and one of the few actresses with such a successfull career for decades. Her films were a huge success, the public acceptance was unrealistic and her perfectionism didn't leave anything to chance. From the way she interpreted the role to her appearance. She had a unique way to combine a sensual style with an androgynous look - suits, ties and other similar clothes magnetized the looks of men and women too. Considered a pioneer in this field since pants in those decades were not a selection of women for public appearances. It was almost prohibitive. But in the same time she could wear stunning gowns with an equally unique way, as her body was sculpted and everyone was talking about her wonderful legs.
Marlene Dietrich died in 1992 and in the last months of her life she did not let nobody, neither her very close friends to see her, as she did not want to be remembered aged. The communication even for interviews was made only by telephone.
Marlene was, is and will be the muse for many designers and her legend will live not only through her films but also through fashion.
