Όλο και περισσότεροι σημαντικοί άνθρωποι της μόδας στηρίζουν την πρωτοβουλία του CFDA (Συμβούλιο των Σχεδιαστών Μόδας της Αμερικής) με το όνομα The Health Initiative θέτοντας ως στόχο την καθιέρωση ενός καινούριου προτύπου γυναικείας ομορφιάς. Ήδη 19 διευθύντριες του περιοδικού Vogue έχουν ξεκινήσει την εκστρατεία βάζοντας στα εξώφυλλά τους μοντέλα και σταρ του σινεμά που προβάλλουν μία υγιής εικόνα γεμάτες από ζωντάνια και αυτοπεποίθηση.
"Η Vogue πιστεύει πως η υγεία είναι η πραγματική ομορφιά", τονίζει ο πρόεδρος του εκδοτικού οίκου Condé Nast International. "Η ομάδα της Vogue σε όλο τον κόσμο θα αποδείξει πως ενδιαφέρεται για την υγεία των μοντέλων που εμφανίζονται στο περιοδικό και για την ευεξία του αναγνωστικού κοινού της."

Η Vogue Italia και ο Steven Meisel έκαναν την αρχή με την Ιταλίδα ηθοποιό Isabella Rossellini, κόρη της θρυλικής Ingrid Bergman και του σκηνοθέτη Roberto Rossellini, που ξεκίνησε την καριέρα της ως μοντέλο στα 28 της και έχει ποζάρει για τους πιο διάσημους φωτογράφους του κόσμου όπως ο Richard Avedon, o Helmut Newton, ο Peter Lindbergh και η Annie Leibovitz.

More and more significant personalities from the fashion world are supporting the Health Initiative of CFDA (Council of Fashion Designers of America) that aims to launch a new prototype of feminine beauty. The nineteen editors of the international editions of Vogue have started a campaign by choosing for their covers models and stars which are healthy, full of life and confident.
“Vogue believes that good health is beautiful,” said Jonathan Newhouse, Chairman of Condé Nast International. “Vogue Editors around the world want the magazines to reflect their commitment to the health of the models that appear on the pages and the wellbeing of their readers.”
It's officially launched with the June issues of all the nineteen Vogue editions which will be dedicated to a real woman. Vogue Italy and Steven Meisel were the first by putting on the cover of June issue Italian actress Isabella Rossellini, daughter of legendary Ingrid Bergman and a film director Roberto Rossellini. Starting her career at 28, she has worked with many well-known photographers, including Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, Peter Lindbergh and Annie Leibovitz.
